Actually, the site is a confusing mess compared to something like http://www.apple.com, and is in need of a complete reorganization and rewrite.

I agree that Ubuntu.com is a complete mess… A REALLY simple thing that would improve it (in my eyes) is changing the laptop/server pics. The laptop especially looks old and clunky…not the image we want. I also don’t like the juxtaposition of “Desktop Edition” and the laptop picture. Some might find that confusing. Maybe “Normal”, “Regular”, “Original” or something… would be better.

Anyway I hope the site is reorganized by the LTS. I really hope Mark’s whole focus for it is “usability, appearance and design (oh and The Cloud of course)”

@Ellipsis: That laptop in the Ubuntu homepage is not old & clunky, it’s simply a ThinkPad. You may not like the design, but the one in the image might very well be a state-of-the-art machine.
