Daniel’s new Harvest project is really going to help us find low hanging fruit that can be fixed in Ubuntu.
It’s collecting data from various sources and putting them in one place. We can use this tool to ensure that fixes from upstream are getting to our users, tracks patches from other distributions (Distribution pushing patches to upstream is a more complicated topic that I will blog about in the future) and that easy-to-fix bugs.
Since Daniel is on vacation, I think it would be cool if someome gave Daniel a “virtual hug”, checked out the code, and polished it up a little bit. (Throw in some nice Ubuntu-flavored colors and a header, maybe some AJAXy slick stuff, etc.) Since he’s probably not checking the internet he can come home to a bunch of bzr branches ready to make this tool rock on even more!
